On a high floor overlooking Chicago and Lake Michigan, this 5200-square foot condo is a study in color and light. Home to a family with teenagers, the residence is filled with custom design pieces, comfortably upholstered furniture, and meaningful art layered in a functional and unpretentious way. The clients, one an artist, purchased this new unit in the RAMSA designed One Bennett Park in Streeterville.  They wanted public spaces that were expressive of their taste yet weren't overly formal: this is a home for living with plenty of space to work, paint, and for the kids to ‘hang out’. The South-facing breakfast room, with its stunning views originally wasted as a butler’s pantry, is now a look for a client to sit in the sun and enjoy breakfast overlooking the city and lake beyond. The condo’s high perch makes natural light abundant, and the use of rich color makes the most of this, grounding the rooms during the day and creating more intimate and cozy spaces at night. It's the ultimate in city living.
